    ﺑﻴﻤﺘﺎل دارای دو ﻗﺴﻤﺖ ﻣﺪار ﻗﺪرت و ﻣﺪار ﻓﺮﻣﺎن ﻫﻤﭽﻮن ﻛﻨﺘﺎﻛﺘﻮرﻫﺎ می باشد و ﻫﻨﮕﺎم ﻋﺒﻮر ﺟﺮﻳﺎن زﻳﺎد از ﻣﺪار ﻗﺪرت آن در ﺻﻮرﺗﻲ ﻛﻪ ﻣﻘﺪار آن از ﻣﻘﺪار ﺗﻨﻈﻴﻢ ﺷﺪ ه روي ﺑﻴﻤﺘﺎل ﺑﻴﺸﺘﺮ ﺑﺎﺷﺪ، ﺑﺎﻋﺚ ﻗﻄﻊ و وﺻﻞ ﻛﻨﺘﺎﻛﺖ ﻫای ﻗﺴﻤﺖ فرمان بیمتال خواهد شد.

     

    ﺑﻴﻤﺘﺎل : 

    ﭼﻨﺎﻧﭽﻪ ﺟﺮﻳﺎن ﻋﺒﻮري از ﺑﻴﻤﺘﺎل از ﺣﺪي ﺑﺎﻻﺗﺮ رود، مقدار تنظیم شده بر روی بیمتال، عبور جریان دو فلز را گرم کرده طول آن ها را افزایش می دهد و از آنجا که طول یکی بیشتر از دیگری افزایش می یابد دو فلز خم شده و از طریق اهرم هایی کنتاکت بیمتال را باز می کنند به این ترتیب مدار قطع می شود.

    ﻫﺮ رلۀ ﺣﺮارﺗﻲ ﺳﻪ ﻓﺎز از ﺳﻪ ﻛﻨﺘﺎﻛﺖ ﻗﺪرت ﺑﺮاي ﻋﺒﻮر ﺟﺮﻳﺎن اﺻﻠﻲ ﻣﺼﺮف ﻛﻨﻨﺪه ﻛﻪ ﺑﻌﺪ از ﻛﻨﺘﺎﻛﺘﻮر ﻗﺮار می گیرند و دو ﻛﻨﺘﺎﻛﺖ ﻓﺮﻣﺎن ﺑﻬﺮه میگیرد.

    از دو ﻛﻨﺘﺎﻛﺖ ﻓﺮﻣﺎن یک ﻛﻨﺘﺎﻛﺖ بسته اﺳﺖ و ﺟﻬﺖ ﻗﻄﻊ ﻣﺪار ﺗﻐﺬﻳﻪ ﺑﻮﺑﻴﻦ ﻛﻨﺘﺎﻛﺘﻮر ﺑﻪ ﻛﺎر می رود و دو ﻛﻨﺘﺎﻛﺖ دﻳﮕﺮ ﺑﺎز اﺳﺖ ﻛﻪ ﭘﺲ از ﻋﻤﻞ ﺑﻴﻤﺘﺎل، بسته می شود و ﺑﺮای اﻃﻼع  ﻳﺎ وﺻﻞ ﻣﺪارﻫای اﺿﻄﺮاری ﺑﻪ ﻛﺎر می رود.

    اگر روی موتوری بیش از حد مجاز بار بیافتد، جریان زیادی از شبکه دریافت کرده و سیم پیچ هایش داغ می شود و در صورت عدم قطع به موقع، موتور خواهد سوخت

    رله حرارتی موتور را در مقابل اضافه بار حفاظت می کند. رله اضافه بار جهت کنترل جریان موتورهای الکتریکی بکار می رود و یک نوع رله حفاظتی است این رله از دو فلز با جنس مختلف که ضرایب انبساط طولی مختلفی دارند تشکیل شده است. شرایط کار این رله ها از (20-) تا (60+) درجه سانتیگراد متغیر است.
